Soccer Recap: James Monroe Comes Up Short

James Monroe lost against Spotsylvania back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets came up short against the Knights, falling 9-1. James Monroe's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

James Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Spotsylvania, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Monroe will venture away from home to challenge Westmoreland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. James Monroe are facing Westmoreland at the right time seeing as Westmoreland are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Spotsylvania, they will head out to square off against Courtland at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Courtland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Spotsylvania surely won't give up without a fight.
