Paden City snaps six-game streak of losses at home

Recap: Paden City Wildcats vs. Hundred Hornets

After losing to the Hundred Hornets the last time they met, the Paden City Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Paden City narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hornets 36-34.

Paden City found their leader in underclassman Ashton Wade, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds. Wade is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lexi Mathis, who scored 11 points.

Paden City's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Hundred, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Paden City will head out on the road to take on the Blue Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Magnolia comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Hundred, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beallsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 701st in Ohio, while the Hornets are ranked 119th in West Virginia).
