Baseball Recap: Admiral Farragut Comes Up Short

Admiral Farragut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors, falling 18-3.

Ashton Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases. He is becoming a predictor of Admiral Farragut's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jackson Crain, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Admiral Farragut's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Admiral Farragut is taking a road trip to challenge Sarasota Military Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Tenoroc on the 4th.
