Volleyball Recap: Scott Skyhawks vs. Point Pleasant Big Blacks
Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Point Pleasant Big Blacks. The Skyhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Big Blacks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Scott was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22.
Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Point Pleasant, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-16.
Scott wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lincoln County on the 17th. After both having extra time off, Point Pleasant and Winfield will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
