Soccer Game Preview: Hinckley-Big Rock vs. Stillman Valley + How To Watch

The Hinckley-Big Rock Royals will face off against the Stillman Valley Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hinckley-Big Rock will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Stillman Valley better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Hinckley-Big Rock's game on Monday is any indication, that's when Hinckley-Big Rock really gets things going. Everything went the Royals' way against Earlville as they made off with a 5-1 victory. Considering Hinckley-Big Rock have won nine matchups by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Earlville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sawyer Smith (2), Lofton Adkins, Austin Roop, and Adam Ness.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Stillman Valley duked it out with Somonauk on Tuesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Bobcats, falling 5-0. Stillman Valley haven't had much luck with Somonauk recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Stillman Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Hinckley-Big Rock, their win bumped their record up to 12-3-2.

Hinckley-Big Rock beat Stillman Valley 5-3 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
