Basketball Recap: Walnut Ridge Takes a Loss

If Walnut Ridge was feeling good fresh off their 91-49 takedown of Briggs on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scots took a 77-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Hartley Hawks on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scots of the 65-53 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Walnut Ridge now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bishop Hartley, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut Ridge will be home for the holidays to greet Eastmoor Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Hartley, they will host Summit Country Day at 8:50 p.m. on Saturday.
