Soccer Game Preview: Campbell County vs. Cherokee

The Campbell County Cougars will head out to take on the Cherokee Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Campbell County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Powell on Tuesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 4-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Cherokee narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Daniel Boone 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chiefs.

Cherokee's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Campbell County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Campbell County couldn't quite get it done against Cherokee in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-4. Can Campbell County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
