Basketball Recap: Central's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Central lost against Loyola back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Central Trail Blazers fell to the Loyola Bull Dogs 51-47.

Central's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points over those games. As for Loyola, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-11.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loyola, they will be taking part in a tournament against Arts & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arts & Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Loyola likes a good challenge.
