The Hoopeston Cornjerkers and the Iroquois West Raiders will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hoopeston's tournament run continued when they took on Clifton Central on Friday. The Cornjerkers came up short against the Comets, falling 51-29. The contest marked the Cornjerkers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Iroquois West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 57-23 loss at the hands of Watseka.

Iroquois West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hoopeston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Hoopeston against Iroquois West in their previous meeting back in February, as the team secured a 69-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cornjerkers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
