Basketball Game Preview: Napoleon Wildcats vs. Springfield Blue Devils

The Napoleon Wildcats and the Springfield Blue Devils will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Napoleon, who comes in off a win.

Napoleon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Southview for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-18 victory. With the Wildcats ahead 39-5 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Napoleon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Miller led the charge by going 6 of 8 en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Molly Rosebrook, who posted ten points and three steals.

Napoleon was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 42-26 fall against Liberty Center.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Napoleon, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Napoleon strolled past Springfield when the teams last played back in February by a score of 45-31. Does Napoleon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Springfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
