Baseball Game Preview: Scripps Ranch Falcons vs. Point Loma Pointers

For the second straight game, Scripps Ranch will face off against Point Loma. The Falcons will face off against the Pointers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scripps Ranch is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Scripps Ranch made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Point Loma, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons fell just short of the Pointers by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday.

For Point Loma's part, Wyatt Olson was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Morais, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Point Loma and bumps their season record up to 14-8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Scripps Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18.
