Baseball Recap: Westmont Takes a Loss

Westmont managed to slip by Homestead the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Westmont Warriors lost 10-3 to the Homestead Mustangs on Wednesday. The loss leaves the Warriors still looking for their first win of the season.

Peyton Hines made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Vinnie Moreno, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Westmont's record is now 0-3-1. As for Homestead, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Westmont will head out to challenge Milpitas at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Homestead, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Piedmont Hills at 3:30 p.m.
