Basketball Recap: Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Takes a Loss

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Bertie Falcons 65-12. If the Griffins were looking for revenge after losing 67-16 to the Falcons when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Bertie to victory were Nyqway Bazemore and Semaj Freeman. Bazemore went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points and four steals, while Freeman posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Bazemore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Donald Porter was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Northside - Pinetown at 7:30 p.m. on December 4. As for Bertie, they will square off against KIPP P at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
