Campolindo and Mt. Diablo are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Campolindo has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Campolindo is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Concord on Tuesday. They lost 16-1 to the Bears. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Las Lomas, falling 27-1.

Dazzelynn Alon was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and one run.

Campolindo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mt. Diablo, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Campolindo couldn't quite get it done against Mt. Diablo when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
