Softball Recap: Springfield Drops Season-High Score on Ross

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springfield). They put the hurt on the Ross Little Giants with a sharp 23-2 win on Wednesday. Considering the Blue Devils have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Springfield, bringing their record up to 14-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Ross, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springfield will take on rival Bowling Green at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ross is set to square off against their familiar foe Clay at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
