Basketball Recap: Shamrock's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Shamrock hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Claude Mustangs on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-43 back in January.

Shamrock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rhpy Owens, who went 8 of 19 en route to 21 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Owens has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Philip Cook was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Shamrock's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-15. As for Claude, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.

Shamrock will take on Lefors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lefors has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Claude, they will square off against McLean at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
