Baseball Game Preview: North Babylon Bulldogs vs. Newfield Wolverines

For the second straight game, North Babylon will face off against Newfield. The Bulldogs will welcome the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: North Babylon has lost three straight at home , while Newfield has lost three on the road.

North Babylon fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Newfield on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 9-8.

North Babylon got a massive performance out of Jordan Konig, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Konig has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 0-4 otherwise. Daniel Goodis was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run.

Newfield's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for North Babylon, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.
