Softball Game Preview: Kenosha Bradford Devils vs. Whitnall Falcons

The Kenosha Bradford Devils will face off against the Whitnall Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Kenosha Bradford sitting on six straight victories and Whitnall on three.

While Kenosha Bradford's win against Indian Trail wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Devils narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hawks 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Devils have posted since April 8th.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitnall). They were the clear victors by an 18-12 margin over Menomonee Falls on Tuesday. Considering the Falcons have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Samantha Davis was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three doubles, and one run. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Mercedes Mullen was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Whitnall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

Kenosha Bradford's record now sits at 10-6. As for Whitnall, their record is now 13-4.

Kenosha Bradford got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Whitnall by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
