Basketball Recap: Grant Comes Up Short

Grant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the St. Mary's Academy Belles on the road by a 54-37 margin.

Ebbony Wilson was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals for St. Mary's Academy. Another player making a difference was Layia King, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Grant now has a losing record at 4-5. As for St. Mary's Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Grant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-31 win against Sunset on the 30th. As for St. Mary's Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-29 victory against Glencoe on the 30th.
