St. Clair has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 2.89 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Dakota Cougars 11-10. The game was the first time the Saints have beaten the Cougars on their field since May 8, 2018.

The team relied heavily on Madisyn Treat, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 4-for-5. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. Kadie Badger also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

St. Clair hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.

St. Clair is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Dakota, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-12 record this season.
