Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Pleasant Tigers vs. Culleoka Warriors

Mt. Pleasant is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Culleoka a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Mt. Pleasant Tigers will welcome the Culleoka Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Mt. Pleasant challenged Lewis County on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 8-5 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Culleoka came up short against Richland on Tuesday, falling 13-3.

Culleoka saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Richardson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Culleoka, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Mt. Pleasant couldn't quite get it done against Culleoka in their previous meeting back in March of 2021 as they fell 15-12. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
