St. Mary's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Sacred Heart Academy as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Olivia Lange tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. Mary's got a big performance out of Ella Dovey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Dovey has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Alexa Saunders was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.
St. Mary's was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount St. Mary Academy). St. Mary's pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.
