Jones and Southside are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Trojans will take on the Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jones will be strutting in after a victory while Southside will be coming in after a defeat.

Jones will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Northside - Pinetown, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-1 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Southside fell victim to Greene Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Seahawks in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost six in a row.

Jones pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Southside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Jones might still be hurting after the 13-6 loss they got from Southside in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
