Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Rebels vs. Burlington Huskies

The Riverside Rebels will head out to take on the Burlington Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Riverside didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bridger/Belfry, but they still walked away with a 58-52 win. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 35th in Wyoming, while Bridger/Belfry are ranked 109th in Montana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Burlington took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 48-14 victory over Greybull. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 29 points or more this season.

Burlington pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35 points. As for Riverside, their record is now 10-4.

Riverside might still be hurting after the 51-30 defeat they got from Burlington when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Riverside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
