Softball Recap: Ardrey Kell Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Ardrey Kell's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Palisades Pumas. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 12 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Carlin Scholz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Scholz was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Janey Galek was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Martin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Ardrey Kell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. They are 11-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Ardrey Kell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Palisades, their record is now 11-13.

Ardrey Kell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palisades, they will take on Alexander Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Pumas surely won't give up without a fight.
