Basketball Recap: North Lenoir Comes Up Short

North Lenoir was the 75-58 winner over South Lenoir when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The North Lenoir Hawks fell just short of the South Lenoir Blue Devils by a score of 70-68 on Thursday.

North Lenoir's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for South Lenoir, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-7 record.

North Lenoir won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ayden - Grifton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ayden - Grifton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season. As for South Lenoir, they will head out on the road to square off against Ashley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
