Softball Recap: Plainfield East Has No Trouble Against Batavia

Plainfield East won the last time they faced Batavia and things went their way on Wednesday too. Plainfield East put the hurt on Batavia with a sharp 13-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bengals, who have now won three contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Natalie Utrata was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Ashley Plzak, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Plainfield East now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Batavia, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Plainfield East will venture away from home to take on Wheaton-Warrenville South at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Batavia, they will host Waubonsie Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
