Football Recap: Holmes County Central Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Holmes County Central had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Biloxi Indians 33-30.

Davarious Johnson was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 259 yards and four TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. Rashad Campbell was another key player, picking up 40 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Holmes County Central's run defense was locked in: Biloxi could only muster 1.8 yards per carry. The Jaguars' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holmes County Central will square off against Yazoo City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Biloxi, they will challenge Pascagoula at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
