American came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Sequoia Ravens 3-0.

American not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Sequoia between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-14.

Isaiah Rice paced American's offense, picking up ten kills. Rice got some help from Kensho Fukami and his 20 assists. Fukami was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

American's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Sequoia, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

American has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Moreau Catholic on the 10th. As for Sequoia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Jefferson on the 11th.
