Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five games. As for Des Moines North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Ames will welcome Marshalltown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marshalltown will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ames surely won't give up without a fight. As for Des Moines North, they will venture away from home to challenge Waterloo West at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
