Baseball Recap: Severn School Admirals vs. Glenelg Country Dragons
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gerstell Academy, Severn School was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Glenelg Country Dragons as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Admirals haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Brendan Szydlik made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Szydlik was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Brady Benz looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Fletcher Warner was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Caden Blanck was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Severn School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenelg Country only posted an OBP of .158.
Severn School's record now sits at 15-2. As for Glenelg Country, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
