Volleyball Recap: Capistrano Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Capistrano Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Margaret's Tartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Capistrano Valley started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 24-26, 25-15, 25-15, 15-8.

Capistrano Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for St. Margaret's, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-6 record.

Capistrano Valley and St. Margaret's will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars will square off against rival Tesoro at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Margaret's is set to challenge their familiar foe Northwood at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
