Volleyball Game Preview: Davis Darts vs. Syracuse Titans

After both having extra time off, the Davis Darts and the Syracuse Titans will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Davis comes in on four and Syracuse on three.

Farmington came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Davis, but Siona Faeamani wouldn't allow it. The Darts came out on top against the Phoenix by a score of 3-1 last Thursday with plenty of help from Faeamani, who had 23 assists and eight digs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 13.1 assists per game.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Syracuse made easy work of Weber last Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

While Syracuse won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-11, 28-26.

Davis better keep an eye on Ian Sprague. He was instrumental in Syracuse's win, getting nine digs and one assist.

Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Davis, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Davis has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Syracuse struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
