Baseball Preview: Point Loma Pointers vs. Eastlake Titans

The Point Loma Pointers will challenge the Eastlake Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On the hitting side, Joel Vargas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. JP Conero was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI.

Eastlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Marcos only posted an OBP of .300.

Point Loma's record now sits at 19-10-1. As for Eastlake, their record is now 23-6.

Point Loma couldn't quite finish off Eastlake in their previous meeting on Wednesday and fell 3-1. Can the Pointers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
