Basketball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Heritage Pride 58-25. While losing is never fun, the Ram can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Pride are ranked 19th).

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will face off against Briar Woods at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Heritage, they will venture away from home to challenge Tuscarora at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tuscarora has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
