Softball Recap: Gainesville Leopards vs. Bonham Warriors

Gainesville had lost four straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 4-18 to make it five. They came up short against the Bonham Warriors, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

As for Bonham, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-11-1. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Bonham's part, Annalyn Stafford was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Stafford a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katy Harrison, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2025. Parker Patton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
