Softball Recap: Holly Hill Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Northwood Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holly Hill Academy). They walked away with a 22-18 victory over the Northwood Academy Chargers on Thursday. While the Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-7-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Kaylee Brabham was a standout: she got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaley Bell, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Holly Hill Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

When Holly Hill Academy and Northwood Academy next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Holly Hill Academy will face off against Dorchester Academy and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on March 31st. Holly Hill Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season. Meanwhile, Northwood Academy will try to stop First Baptist School's three-game winning streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on March 31st.
