Basketball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 59-21 loss at the hands of the Thunder Basin Bolts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-25 back in January.

Leading Thunder Basin to victory were Ashtyn Ketchum and Addison Rouse. Ketchum went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and three steals, while Rouse dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ketchum has scored at least a third of Thunder Basin's points. Another player making a difference was Bailey Rouse, who posted eight points along with nine boards and six assists.

South's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Thunder Basin, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Looking ahead, South will head out to face off against Sheridan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Thunder Basin, they have already played their next game, a 63-50 defeat against Laramie on the 8th.
