Basketball Game Preview: Hoffman Estates Hawks vs. Unity Christian Academy Phoenix

The Hoffman Estates Hawks will challenge the Unity Christian Academy Phoenix at 10:20 a.m. on Friday.

Hoffman Estates' tournament run continued when they took on Niles North on Monday. The Hawks fell 42-36 to the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Unity Christian Academy won against Blue Island Eisenhower two weeks ago with 47 points and they decided to stick to that point total again last Monday. The Phoenix breezed past Kankakee Trinity Academy to the tune of 47-15. The Phoenix have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

The win (which was Unity Christian Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points over those games. As for Hoffman Estates, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7.

Hoffman Estates was able to grind out a solid win over Unity Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January, winning 45-38. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Phoenix have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
