Baseball Recap: Palo Verde Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Palo Verde won against Las Vegas last Saturday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Palo Verde came out on top against Vauxhall Academy (Vauxhall, Alberta) by a score of 10-6. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kyle Johnson made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Palo Verde got a massive performance out of Tanner Johns, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Johns has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brady Dallimore, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Palo Verde always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Palo Verde's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Vauxhall Academy (Vauxhall, Alberta), this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
