Softball Recap: Port St. Joe Has No Trouble Against Wewahitchka

Port St. Joe got themselves on the board against Wewahitchka on Thursday, but Wewahitchka never followed suit. They blew past the Wewahitchka Gators 10-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tiger Sharks also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Brooklyn Bishop made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Bishop was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alaina Green, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Hailey Green, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

The win made it two in a row for Port St. Joe and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.5 runs. As for Wewahitchka, their record now sits at 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port St. Joe will welcome Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on February 28th. As for Wewahitchka, they will host Chiles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
