Softball Recap: Fowler's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

If Fowler was feeling good fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Ionia on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 5-2 to the Perry Ramblers on Monday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ramblers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

With the loss, Fowler broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5. As for Perry, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fowler is set to take on their familiar foe St. Patrick at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Perry will face off against rival Dansville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ramblers 3.6, the Aggies 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
