Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Rams vs. Southview Cougars

The Rogers Rams will face off against the Southview Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rogers took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 48-36 victory over Clay.

Meanwhile, Southview waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Polar Bears, posting a 70-39 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Rogers has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points over those games. Southview's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

Rogers didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Southview when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 46-40 win. Will Rogers repeat their success, or does Southview have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
