Recap: Northview Chiefs vs. Laurel Hill Hoboes
The Northview Chiefs lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough 89-56 loss at the hands of Laurel Hill. Northview has struggled against Laurel Hill recently, as their game on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Northview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JACOB SPENCE, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was JIKEIR HUDSON, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Northview dropped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Laurel Hill, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
Northview will head out on the road to challenge Flomaton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Flomaton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northview in their respective states (Flomaton is ranked 335th in Alabama, while Northview is ranked 735th in Florida). As for Laurel Hill, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Holmes County at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th.
