Basketball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was the 54-49 winner over Vandalia when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vandals on Friday.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Vandalia, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Marshall will take on Mt. Carmel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Lions' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Vandalia, they and Newton will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
