Soccer Game Preview: Foothill vs. Beckman

The Foothill Knights will face off against the Beckman Patriots at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Foothill headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Fullerton let them put that streak behind them. Foothill came out on top against Fullerton by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Even though the Knights got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Saul Fiallos was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Quinn Frye and Alejandro Monge scored all four of Foothill's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Beckman's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Friday. Neither they nor Capistrano Valley could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Patriots happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Foothill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three games. Beckman's draw gives them a new season record of 4-0-1.

Foothill beat Beckman by a goal in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 2-1. Does Foothill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Beckman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
