Volleyball Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Comes Up Short

Saint Ignatius College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the St. Rita Mustangs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 4, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 27-25.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for St. Rita, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-18.

Looking ahead, Saint Ignatius College Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Payton College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Rita, they will head out on the road to take on Brother Rice at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
