Cosby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Van Buren County, falling 18-5. One positive for Cosby, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cosby saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Bradshaw, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Matthew McMahan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Cosby's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Van Buren County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

While Cosby had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
