Everything came up roses for the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots against the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars on Friday as the team secured a 47-6 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Patriots' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Jaguars are ranked 53rd).

Samuel Stockett had an outrageously good game as he threw for 290 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes. What's more, he racked up 143.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Colson O'Cain, who gained 96 total yards and two touchdowns.

The win got Madison-Ridgeland Academy back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Madison-Ridgeland Academy will head out on the road to take on Hartfield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson Davis County, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Sumrall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
