Softball Recap: Middle Creek Falls Short of Apex Friendship in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Middle Creek can now relate to. They fell just short of the Apex Friendship Patriots by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Kennedy Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Herndon, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Middle Creek now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Apex Friendship, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Middle Creek nor Apex Friendship have any future games scheduled.
